TEACHERS AND PUPILS

You all wonder what I do with my spare time, other than running a brothel. Well, I study. I love working with numbers so decided to start an open learning course. Got a few qualifications. However, there are only 3 subjects in the diploma part in open learning.
I had to start with another college, but this college was worthless. Didn't know what subject they taught, and didn't even read my application form. They sent the same course I had just recently passed in Edinburgh.
Her comment was,
?Oh, I see it now?, and apologised, stupid woman.
I started with law with them and the teacher became really awkward, so I changed schools. Her comment was,
?You understand perfectly well, but not the correct jargon?. She criticized constantly, so one time I copied from an ACCA accounts book in law, and she still criticized and gave hardly any points. One part I copied her answer from the same question and she actually marked it wrong, I pointed this out, she couldn't give me an answer, so I told her to go and shove it.
I would have liked this part. It's only a small unit in accounts but can't find it.
What is strange my Open University wants me to explain in my own words, no words from book. How different from the college!!!! Edinburgh college said the same, in your own words. Have to give Edinburgh college 10/10.

If no one hears from me, for a month, I have tests on.
I recently past the first test in Open University, and chuffed to bits. I didn't think I was that clever to pass. I wasn't really bright at school, but then I never like school. I couldn't stand desks, blackboards. Go at everybody else's speed, and far too many people around me. Can't stand enclosed spaces either.

I just done the statistics test, there are 2 parts to it. I passed the test, but I am still disappointed in myself.
I got the papers back, and before even looking at the marks, I noticed all mistakes. I mean I checked twice and why could I not see it.
Qualitative as we all know is the description and Quantiative is a number, I somehow put description in the wrong one. What a bloody prat.
Another part which really peeved me off. Standard deviation. I know, and always have known when you do group frequency the total amount of numbers subtract one. Why the bloody hell did I count the amount of groups. You stupid cow, me!!!! I could see it right in front before checking all marks and crosses. Why could I not see it then, it right there in front of me. What I thought I got wrong I got right.
The first part, my mark was 38/50. You can all say, nothing wrong with that, but there is if I looked at my answers properly I could have got an extra 8 points. You all have no idea how pissed off I feel. I most of the time do these errors in exams, and I don't mind if it's understandable errors, but when it's just neglect.....

Need to photocopy this test I saw whilst visiting Newtonmore last week. If you try to hard you can't see, but all of a sudden when you are relaxed and casual, you can see, a bit like life. See if you can read this line;

I don't agree on forcing a child to go to school after 14 years old. You can take a horse to the water, but you can't make the horse drink it. I have a niece who didn't like school, she feels happy now working in hotels. Even though it's a crap job, she enjoys earning her own money, having her own independence. My friend's son is 14 years old, and he does part time work in a shop. The feeling of independence gives him or her more self esteem, self assurance and can buy there own fancy footwear, rather than relying on the parent.
This would make size of classes smaller, and it gives bonus to the ones who do want to study longer.
Sandy(friend with him and wife) a bus driver was telling me. A girl at 16 wants to be a Nurse but it depends on her results on the exams. F piss!!!!! That is annoying.
Let her go to the College of Nurses and start learning there. She can sit tests and exams there, instead of relying on this one result. Talk about pressure man.
Would that not explain why a lot of children seem to get involved in illegal activities, sad part is some have actually committed suicide. I think it's atrocious.

Some people as myself seem to learn better when you get older. If you are not interested, do not force a child. Nobody enjoys learning at the same time of life. I became more interested when I got older. It bored the *** when I was at school. If you are not interested, your not and that's really the facts of the matter.
Why keep the child in school longer, when all they are going to do is bunk off and get involved with the wrong people. Let them work and become independent and earn their own cash. We are wasting their time keeping them there an extra 3 years, if they refuse to learn any more.
Maybe at this point we might not need Polish and whatever else is jumping in the country.

Instead of forcing them to stay on school, why not let him or her leave and help out in places where we are lacking in staff. They can help in places that need the help. Hospitals, councils etc
Another idea, which I think, is perfect, if anybody is caught doing racing with cars, or anything similar or illegal, they should be forced to work in the A & E department. You can tell us all what is right or wrong, when we are young, is it not better to see the proof with our own eyes.

What I think is so wrong, and teachers should know this by their studying. The teacher will victimise a pupil, ask them a question, and if they don't know they get laughed at or called thick. The pupil may start to believe this. The child may not know the answer due to nerves. Your teacher should remember what they studied, as in what sort of person you are. The child may wonder why the bloody heck bother with school if I am not as bright as the others, and then get involved in the wrong sort of people to have this feeling of self belonging.
This knowledge the teachers are given is, are you a finisher, completer etc can't remember them all. You have to tick each choice from the questions then add up total and it explains the person you are. Some people need to go away and think about the question. Some people don't like pressure, some people prefer to works with hands. If someone asks me there and then, I freak out as I did in school. I got my maths a few years ago, and paid a private teacher. I notice they haven't changed at all. He asked me this question, I tightened up, he kept being pushy and the more I panicked. He told me to finally go away and think about it. When I left the building, and thought about it, less pressure, bit more relaxed, I came up with the exact correct answer, and sent it to him. I ended up with an A in maths, so teachers should adapt to the pupils personality.

Teachers can't think beyond their own brain. We are all different people and learn differently.
Some people prefer to learn in their own speed. Some people don't like sitting in company or classes. It does not mean you are stupid or thick. Everyone should find the way they learn best and what situation they prefer to learn in.
I have a phobia with schools, desks, and get distracted to easily. I had a test about 10 years ago, and the lady put a clock right in front of me. I freaked out, and failed.

Not everyone is the same, we are all different, learn differently, and at different times of our life. Some better when younger some better when they are older.
Can the education not change and the employment rules. It might make children, schools better way of life.
It does surprise me how people's thoughts change, interest change when we all get older. Our aim in life is different than what it was when we are younger.
I wish people who done terrible in school, would not think they are thick or stupid. It could just be wrong time wrong place. Look out for all your options of what you are interested in and find out how many ways there are to study.

Me as government, my rules would be in education;

1. Children can leave school at 14 years old if they have a job
2. If at 14 they want to be a nurse, they go to nurse school, I think relying on this only exam results, is terrible.
3.There should be a school for all careers. A college for Nurses and Doctors, a college for joiners, plumbers and electricians, college or law. Etc
4. If you are not working at the age of 21, you go to the Army, Raf etc
