Sorry, all has not heard from me for a while. I have had to swot, as there was an exam or exams in September. The first exam went alright, but the second exam was only 2 days after the first. So I went to bed early for me, 1230, exam starts at 10am. 130 still awake 230 still awake 330 still awake 430 still awake, F.. at this time I was crying, I tried to knock myself out it didn’t work. 530 still awake, F F F... decided to take dogs out for walk 630 still awake, F F F F F F... I went mental at this point Last time I looked at clock it was 7am, woke up with alarm at 9am. I was a zombie, on second exams I made so many errors, but I did correct them on exam, as I did notice them. So many stupid mistakes, but what a mess of papers all errors corrected. The open university invigilator is a lovely woman, she told me she done the same for one of her exams, in fact, she told me she never slept at all, she was just staring at papers for half hour, before she started. To be honest the course was hard. I went through so many keyboards as I had nothing else to punch whilst on computer. Some of the work on computer did my head in. Some of the work in computer, it said, “On this page type in A B C”, so I followed instructions “on this page the answer should be ABC”. I followed all instructions, and did my answer on computer come up ABC, nope, of course not, my answer came up ‘1BZ’, get my point. So the amount of time the book got thrown across the room and the amount of times it got kicked across, one of the books in someone not in one piece. It doesn’t help, but boy it takes off a lot of frustration. We had a meeting at the end of the course before exams, and the Open University director turned up and talked about the exam. He told us, that Certificate of Accountancy in Open University is the hardest course with the highest dropout percentage, and highest percentage of failing. The lady in the Open University office, think, guidance teacher, she told me the same, it’s not easy. In December I was talking to her, as the results were given in December. I said, I could not look at my account and see results, so she looked for me. She phoned me back, and told me to have a look, I said, “I can’t”, She told me I was fine, as she had a look for me. There you go all broken keyboards, a hole in door, broken drawer, few dysfunctional books, and a lot of swearing, cursing, and crying. I passed the exam, which is “Certificate of Accountancy” of University. Now a Part qualified accountant, which I only need experience and a bit of confidence, experience, somehow we all know I won't get it locally. Most who does accounts in companies are less qualified, so now it will not only be threat of running off with their partner but I may know more than they do. Now in process of maths, I find the teacher I have a lot more helpful than the one in Accounts, lovely lady, couldn’t ask for a better teacher. Think I need a break! |
